Comments:

The Marvin was originally developed in 1964 as a signature model for Hank Marvin of The Shadows. It was designed to improve upon his famous Fender Stratocaster, incorporating a unique "scroll" headstock—a personal design request from Hank—and a sophisticated vibrato system. By 1966, following the purchase of Burns by the Baldwin Piano and Organ Company, several changes had been implemented. The original rounded "scroll" headstock was slightly flattened for easier production, and by 1967 most of these guitars were branded solely with the Baldwin logo on the pickguard.Ā
