The Made in Japan Traditional series is a popular line from Fender Japan, highly regarded for its exceptional build quality and attention to vintage detail, crafted at the facility responsible for many sought-after Japanese Fenders. This "Traditional II 60s" model specifically aims to replicate the classic look and sound of a Stratocaster from that golden era, but incorporates several modern design choices that appeal to contemporary players. Key modern features include a flatter 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and slightly narrower nut width, which many players find easier and more comfortable to play than the vintage-accurate 7.25-inch radius. The body is made of basswood, which is a common and tonally balanced wood used in Japanese Fenders, finished in a classic gloss black polyester. The guitar features "Vintage-Style Single-Coil Strat®" pickups designed to produce the authentic bell-like, clear, and punchy tones characteristic of the 60s Stratocaster.
