The ES-335 debuted in 1958 as the world's first commercial thin-line semi-hollowbody guitar, pioneering a revolutionary central solid maple block to combine hollowbody warmth with solidbody feedback resistance. This 2000 model reflects standard factory-issued specifications of the early 2000s. These include premium factory-fitted Grover Rotomatic tuners rather than vintage-style Deluxe buttons, a pair of highly regarded '57 Classic humbucking pickups designed to replicate early PAF tones, and black top hat control knobs.
