This 1968 Hummingbird is a prime example of Gibson's classic "Golden Era" acoustic design. The model debuted in 1960 as Gibson’s first-ever square-shouldered dreadnought acoustic guitar, designed to compete directly with Martin's dominant dreadnought models. It was immediately market-positioned as a premium songwriter's companion, celebrated for its unique ability to blend smoothly with vocal performances without overpowering the singer.
